Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard at the new section of footway near Christ the King Primary School, Drumaness. The work included connecting a 260 metre section of the footway along the A24 Newcastle Road plus the installation of a new bus shelter. Speaking during a visit to the new section of footpath, Chris Hazzard said: “This new footway along this busy stretch of the Newcastle Road near Drumaness is good news for all of the local community. It will improve accessibility and safety for pedestrians, including school children on their daily commute. Principal of Christ the King Primary School, Mrs Fay said: “I and other parents are delighted to have this footway completed. This will make a big difference to the daily school commute.”
